Feelings of perfectionism have you stuck?
Stuck in old patterns builds tension, guilt and shame.
Stuck exhausts the mind, and the body just can’t keep up.
Feelings of perfectionism and whether you are good enough keep you isolated from just about everyone.
ALWAYS SECOND
Working as a professional or a mother often comes first, your needs come second. Certainly, it is difficult as a mother to have time to focus on ‘just you.’
Anxiety creeps in and thoughts of low self-worth, body image and sadness resurface. Getting into nature and the gym were a passion, but it’s hard to make time for that. When there is time, thoughts like, “I look fat, so what’s the point anyway” become louder. Shame develops, making it embarrassing to show up, go out, and be social.
Eventually, the gym membership has been cancelled, no trips into nature have been made, and plans with friends end up falling to the wayside.
Now It’s Time For You
When we recognize that we can’t do everything on our own, big shifts occur.
Light appears within the darkness and hope restores.
Accessing creative arts therapy to its fullest potential can readily bridge gaps that show up in life. Filling up with the arts can help with the feelings of running on empty. Allow yourself to rediscover the potential that has been there this entire time – the potential to be the highest vision of yourself.
There is a natural cycle in that new structures are built when structures break down. It may take time, perseverance, and support. But through art therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness, you will be given the tools to self-express in ways that are unrestricted.
Together we can find the healing path right for you.
Can Creative Arts Therapy Help Me?
Creative Arts Therapy utilizes self-expression as its primary tool to facilitate a deeper understanding of our wants and needs.
The process of creating artwork in therapy provides both the client and the therapist with opportunities to discuss the obstacles which may be preventing optimal health. This discussion can be exchanged both verbally and non-verbally as art therapists are trained in supporting you not only through words, but also through the materials chosen within session.
With the support and guidance of an art therapist, engaging in creative and cathartic activities such as art-making allows therapy to move in a way that feels unique to your needs.

Hi, I’m Nicole, a Creative Arts Therapist
When no self-care is put into place, it is easy to fall into unhealthy routines to cope. Feelings get stuffed down or pushed away, and how we express ourselves is often neglected.
My mission as a therapist is to offer a nurturing space where clients can feel at ease while exploring deeply rooted fears or beliefs and build new pathways instilled with courage, hope, and healing.
Therapy is an opportunity for creative collaboration between the client and me. This makes the experience always evolving.
I have seen client artwork transform just as I have seen the client transformation. When clients can see through their artwork how far they have come, it’s a feeling of accomplishment and relief.
For those who are motivated to make the commitment to themselves, creative arts therapy is where true healing can be achieved.
