Juggling 101
Women are juggling multiple roles while also being placed under the title of “caretaker.” Often recognized as the nurturer to friends, family, and coworkers, somehow you are left having to pick up the pieces and put it all back together.
It’s exhausting and at times extremely overwhelming. This juggling act has become a crutch in many ways as well as a double-edged sword. Without it, questions like, “Who am I really?” What is my purpose?” or “Will I ever get a handle on my anxiety and depression?” are left open-ended and unanswered.
Looking for a way out
The idea of leaving the country to go to an exotic retreat to get to know who you really are sounds perfect. However, it would be completely unrealistic and taboo to think you could do that.
Too many obligations, too many people that need you, and the last time you had “you” time seems likes ages ago.
Pushing away feelings from painful memories no longer serves you and has become increasingly more challenging to manage on your own. Brain fog feels as though it has rolled in to stay, and a once balanced lifestyle feels completely off scale.
Having to multitask these roles while coping with frustrations, traumatic memories, or high levels of anxiety can feel like a huge burden.
My space offers a way ‘out’!
Individual therapy offers women an opportunity to connect more deeply to the challenges and frustrations which provoke negative behaviors, anxiety, and depression. Together we can utilize creative arts therapy and EMDR as a way to express what is holding us back from feeling like our best selves.
The space is designed to feel warm and inviting as you are welcomed with the sight of art materials and the smell of relaxing essential oils.
I will guide you throughout the process to navigate feelings, work with art materials, and rediscover your creative sense of self.
Mindfulness directives such as breathing, art making, and movement are often interwoven within sessions to rewire our internal system to a more calm and desirable state while processing challenging life events.
Let’s work together to find your ‘space’
